Access, Equity, and Education – A Conference in Honor of Rodney J. Andrews, Ph.D.

The Texas Schools Project; the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences; the Economics Program; and the Office of Research and Innovation at the University of Texas at Dallas are pleased to host a special conference dedicated to commemorating the legacy of Dr. Rodney Andrews. Dr. Andrews was Associate Professor of Economics and the Endowed Fellow, Vibhooti Shukla Professor of Economics and Political Economy at the University of Texas at Dallas. The conference will feature scholarship that honors Dr. Andrew’s commitment to advancing equitable outcomes in higher education and in the labor market and studying factors that contribute to racial differences in income, wages, educational attainment, labor market outcomes, economic mobility, and other human capital outcomes.

Research presented at the conference will be considered for special issues of either Review of Black Political Economy or Economics of Education Review, subject to peer review and special issue editorial approval.

This conference will be in-person, and held May 31-June 1, 2024 at the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center at University of Texas Dallas – Richardson, Texas
